LESSON PROGRAM

Riders of all ages may enjoy learning in our programs, continuously advancing in their horsemanship journey.

The best riders in the world are always learning. Every horse has something new to teach, and every ride is an opportunity to improve. True horsemanship is not about mastering the horse, but about mastering yourself—your patience, your balance, your communication, and your ability to listen.

Option 1: Beginner Intro Lesson

(Completion of this lesson is required before advancing to the next training level.)

Lesson Overview:

Horse Safety & Introduction (10–15 minutes)
Begin with the essentials of safely interacting with horses—learn how to approach, halter, lead, and read equine body language. This ensures a calm, confident start for both horse and rider.

Grooming, Saddling & Groundwork & Warmup (15–30 minutes)
Participants will groom and tack up their horse, learning how to properly fit saddles and bridles. Then, on the ground, you’ll practice foundational communication techniques such as leading, yielding, and establishing personal space—key for building trust before the ride.

Riding Session (45 minutes)
Enjoy a structured riding lesson focused on developing balance, posture, and control. You'll learn how to mount safely, cue the horse, steer, stop, and ride with confidence—all with the support of an experienced instructor.

Cool Down, Untacking & Post-Ride Care (15–30 minutes)
Wrap up with a cool-down walk, then untack and groom your horse. This final session emphasizes gratitude, connection, and proper care—essential skills for any horse person.

Option 2: Foundational Riding Program

Our Foundational Horsemanship Program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to interact with horses safely and confidently. This structured, hands-on program introduces key horsemanship fundamentals and prepares you for success in both groundwork and riding.

We offer discounted 10-lesson packages to support consistent progress and skill development. After your introductory lesson, we recommend enrolling in a package to stay on track and continue building your confidence.

Lesson Overview:

Horse Prep, Groundwork & Safety (15–30 min)
Learn how to safely approach, groom, tack up, and connect with your horse through groundwork. Build trust, confidence, and communication before you ride.

Riding Lesson (45 min)
Develop riding skills with a focus on posture, steering, stopping, and transitions. Optional bareback or trail work may be included based on rider level.

Cool Down & Horse Care (15–30 min)
End the session with a walk-out, untacking, grooming, and essential post-ride care like checking hooves and learning daily maintenance.

Option 3: Riding Club (Intermediate to Advanced)

Our Riding Club is designed for riders ready to elevate their skills, strengthen their horse partnership, and dive deeper into performance and connection. This program offers a progressive and dynamic experience that refines your technique across disciplines while nurturing an understanding of true horsemanship.

English & Western Riding Options
Whether you're into dressage, jumping, eventing, or western disciplines, our program helps riders of all levels build confidence, balance, and connection. Lessons focus on strong fundamentals, flatwork, course strategy, pattern work, and technical skills—tailored to your goals in or out of the show ring.

Trail & Outdoor Riding
Explore beyond the arena with guided trail rides and terrain training. Learn how to navigate obstacles, build horse and rider confidence, and enjoy nature—no trailer required. Seasonal activities like skijoring offer unique challenges and fun.

Young Horse Development, Basic Horsemanship & Liberty Training
Develop and strengthen your bond with your horse through natural horsemanship, groundwork, and liberty training. Ideal for young, sensitive, or green horses, this program builds trust, responsiveness, and clear communication.

Rider Progress & Holistic Connection
Set personal goals and track your progress with our supportive instructors. We believe in a whole-horse, whole-rider approach—balancing technical skills with emotional awareness, energy, and harmony in and out of the saddle.

Volunteer Hours!

Work-to-Ride Program
We believe in creating opportunities and building community! Our Work-to-Ride program allows riders to earn lesson credits by participating in barn service hours. For every 10 hours of approved barn work, you’ll receive one private riding lesson.

Whether it’s feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, or helping with daily chores, your hard work can be exchanged for time in the saddle. It’s a great way to learn the ins and outs of horse care while working toward your riding goals.
